BURNABY, B.C. — WebTech Wireless, a supplier of mobile telematics, has signed a distribution agreement with Trailcon Leasing, a company offering expertise in freight transportation solutions across Canada and specializing in trailers, intermodal equipment and fleet management.

The WebTech Wireless’ Quadrant solution is designed to allow Trailcon’s customers to track the location of parked trailers as well as goods in transit, company officials said.

“The demands of our customers are the demands of their own customers, and they continue to increase. To stay ahead, we constantly innovate, with proprietary software and outsourced solutions, to ensure our customers are as productive as possible and the trailers operate at capacity,” said Stuart Innes, IT manager at Trailcon Leasing. “This agreement with WebTech Wireless provides our customers with a leading edge trailer tracking solution that can be integrated with their dispatch software to increase fleet utilization and provide load protection.”

Trailcon customer, CSI Logistics, is currently using the WebTech Locator devices in 200 of its trailers.

“Previous to installing the WebTech Quadrant solution we had to process our trailers by hand. Today, we’ve moved to an automated dispatch system that we expect will increase our efficiencies by 10%,” said Craig Cottrell, president of CSI Logistics.
