PeopleNet will integrate its g2x Wireless Fleet System with the ALK|FleetSuite Condensed Driving Directions module, giving customers the ability to receive driving directions based on their actual vehicle location. The result: fewer out-of-route miles and reduced fuel consumption, the companies say. PeopleNet’s g2x Wireless Fleet System integrates GPS-based location tracking, two-way voice and data communications, and Internet-based fleet management software to provide communication between dispatchers, drivers, and shippers. ALK is the developer of PC*MILER software.

PeopleNet also announced an agreement with TMW Systems to provide automated out-of-route alerts to users of TMW’s dispatch software.
