Western star hosts fifth annual tough challenge

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Western Star Truck Sales announced today that it will be hosting its fifth annual “Western Star Truck Get Tough Challenge” at the 2015 World of Concrete event this week in Las Vegas, Nev.

The challenge is a ride-and-drive event situated at the Gold Lot in the Las Vegas Convention Center.

“Western Star Trucks’ Get Tough Challenge enables drivers to experience first-hand the Western Star difference,” said Ann Demitruk, director of marketing for Western Star. “Our construction trucks are built to the exacting specifications of our customers, ensuring that they meet the challenge for tough jobs, every time.”

Western Star will also be displaying its 4700SF Axle Bridge Formula mixer in Las Vegas. It is equipped with a Detroit DD13 engine and Allison 4700 Rugged Duty Series transmission.

To register for the Tough Challenge you must have a current CDL. The even hours are 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. from Tuesday February 3, 2015 until Thursday February 5, 2015.

  • I experienced the Western Star difference. Numerous flaws and damaged interior parts, windshield wiper linkages that saw through air lines deep inside the dash, the wrong engine mounts and fan installed, and the absolute worst excuse for cab filters I have ever seen.
