Westpac Heavy Duty pays tribute to Bendix customer service

ELYRIA, Ohio — Westpac Heavy Duty has given a special customer service award to Bendix for the fourth consecutive year.

Westpac Heavy Duty, a full-line bumper-to-bumper distributor of heavy-duty truck parts and services, chose Bendix as one of six vendors to receive the honour out of more than 120 suppliers. Bendix develops and supplies commercial vehicle safety and braking system technologies and air brake systems for the commercial vehicle market.

Bendix qualified for the 2008 PAC award by achieving high scores on Westpac’s supplier score card. The scorecard includes categories examining service levels in marketing/promotional assistance, training, local representation, warranties, quality, and more. Bendix is one of just two companies to have received the distinction each year, since the award’s inception.

“Bendix consistently provides us exemplary support in marketing assistance and its resourcefulness, in helping our store general managers communicate the features and benefits of Bendix products, is by far the best of any vendor,” said Mark Carroll, Westpac sales manager. “Bendix makes our job easier. Our local representatives are always there for us, no matter what it is we need.”

Bendix is proud of the distinction it has received from Westpac over the past four years, according to Steve Reynolds, the Bendix director of aftermarket sales for the Western Region.

“This recognition is reflective of the focus Bendix has placed upon providing the best possible service and support, to meet all of our aftermarket customers’ needs.”

The criteria established for the 2008 PAC Award was based upon assistance and quality, rather than sales volume, to better recognize those companies who partnered the most effectively with Westpac.
