WINDSOR, Ont. – The Windsor Workshop, to be held June 2 to 5 at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto, has been canceled.

Low registration numbers and the possible unavailability of key industry and government partners were contributing factors, according to workshop chair Nick Beck.

“Many individuals and organizations have made significant investments and contributions to this conference, so canceling it was not a decision we made lightly. Full refunds will be issued immediately,” Beck wrote in an e-mail to conference chairs, speakers and delegates.

Beck said the cancellation should not impact next year’s workshop, also scheduled to take place in June.

This year’s event was to have been co-hosted by Natural Resources Canada and the U.S. Department of Energy, in cooperation with Environment Canada, Transport Canada and the International Energy Agency.
