WoC: Freightliner, Allison provide optimized driveline packages for vocational trucks

LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Freightliner has announced at World of Concrete that it has partnered with Allison Transmission to offer optimized packages for vocational markets.

 

Allison Optimized is described as a “holistic approach to configuring a vehicle’s driveline that delivers optimal performance, durability, fuel efficiency and driveline protection for specific vocational trucks.”

 

The new system is being displayed in a variety of Freightliner Coronado and Business Class M2 trucks at the World of Concrete trade show.


“Freightliner is an industry leader in durability, reliability and efficiency. The essence of our Run Smart branding is integrated into every aspect of our product, including its components. The Allison Optimized partnership not only reinforces our brand positioning of efficient business solutions but takes it to the next level,” said Melissa Clausen, director of product marketing, Freightliner Trucks.

Allison Optimized packages will be available on Freightliner’s vocational trucks beginning in the second quarter, the company announced. Additional packages will become available throughout the year for various segments.
