Yanke go chrome!

SASKATOON – – Riddle: what do you get when you mix chrome with brass?

Answer: The bosses at the Yanke Group.

And a healthy donation to a good cause.

In recognition of October as Breast Cancer Awareness month, the Yanke executive team agreed to participate in a “Shave the Bosses Head” initiative, as organized by Saskatoon’s radio station C95.

Yanke execs unveil shiny new chrome

The deal was that if Yanke staff raised $10,000, they would get to shave one executive’s noggin; $13,000 would snag them another; $16K a third, $20 for a fourth and if they raised $25,000, they’d get the scalp of none other than the CEO himself Russell Marcoux.

They must really like their boss lockless.

Through a week-long series of internal activities as well as by reaching out to suppliers and the public, not only did Yanke raise the $25,000, the company delivered the second largest single donation to the radio-station fundraiser: $42,150.

Joining Marcoux in the barber’s chair were Division Heads Brett Marcoux, Bryan Richards, Dale Booth and Craig Bailey.

The Yanke Group, a perennial presence on the list of Canada’s best-managed companies, wants to extend a huge thank you to everybody who participated.
