FULLERTON, Cal. — Yokohama has added a new truck tire to its Zenvironment line, the 101ZL which will make its official debut at the Mid-America Trucking Show.

The latest addition to the company’s Zenvironment family is a premium long-haul steer tire, according to Yokohama.

John Cooney, director of commercial sales, says it “runs longer, and is more trouble-free and efficient than anything we’ve ever brought to the market. The 101ZL provides at least a 10% increase in overall tread life and significant resistance to irregular wear.”

The tire has been accepted by the US EPA SmartWay program due to its low rolling resistance.

Cooney said the new tire boasts “incredible durability, excellent longevity and remarkable fuel efficiency.”

It will be available in October in sizes: 295/75R22.5, 11R22.5, 11R24.5 and 285/75R24.5.
