Driver Awarded After Only 3 Months

VAN BUREN, AR — With only three months experience as a truck driver, Jeremy Vance has been awarded USA Truck’s Driver of the Month award.

Vance is believed to be the least experienced driver to ever received the award, the Dayton Daily News reports.

Vance served in the marines for over 12 years before leaving the service and attaining his commercial driver’s license. He began working for USA Truck in January.

“Jeremy has proven to be a quick study in his brief tenure with USA Truck, earning high marks in all areas of his job,” said a post on USA Truck’s Facebook page.

“The Driver of the Month honor is reserved for those driver team members who consistently display their commitment to safety, DOT compliance, customer service, appropriate use of available hours and overall professionalism,” the post continued. “Jeremy has certainly demonstrated his commitment to these objectives, and we’re pleased to have him on our team.”

Corey Robinson, Vance’s manager who nominated him for March’s award said, “His safety record is unblemished, he provides outstanding customer service, and his overall demeanor and attitude could not be better.”

USA Truck is based in Van Buren, AR and has about 2,000 drivers throughout the United States.
