Michelin launches X One Multi T regional trailer tire
Michelin’s X One Multi T trailer tire has been launched to support weight-sensitive regional fleets like flatbed and tanker operations.
The wide-base single tire is available for spread and multi-axle configurations, and allows tractor-trailers to haul up to 289 lb. more payload when compared to dual tires. That figure is based on internal tests against Michelin XTE tires with Alcoa Ultra One wheels.
Key features include a deeper tread to support tread life, while its dual-compound makeup resists scrubbing, and a cooler internal layer helps to maximize casing life.
Siping in the directional tread is meant to reduce irregular wear, while variable groove walls partner with groove bottom protectors to resist stone drilling. The curb guards protect sidewalls.
The Michelin X One Multi T tire is available in a 445/50R22.5 size.
