Truck News is pleased to announce Steven Macleod will be joining the company as head of the western news bureau.

The opportunity to join the Truck News family will see the return of Macleod to his native city of Calgary.

A graduate of the Grant MacEwan College journalism program, Steven has become an accomplished journalist; beginning with two publications based on the Edmonton college’s campus.

After spending time with the weekly newspaper, Saint City News in St. Albert, Alta., Steven took a break from journalism to travel Europe.

Upon his arrival back to Canada, Macleod returned to the newspaper business as a reporter/photographer with the Claresholm Local Press in southern Alberta.

As the head of Truck News/Truck West’s western news bureau, Steven is looking forward to continue providing readers with the most up-to-date and comprehensive coverage of the trucking industry available.

Truck News’ sister publication, Canadian Transportation & Logistics, in association with Infonex Inc. and CITT, will be presenting the 11th annual conference on Customs Compliance and Supply Chain Security, taking place February 21 and 22, in Toronto.

The conference will provide the latest updates on C-TPAT, ACI, ACE, FAST and PIP to help attendees achieve timely shipments by meeting regulatory requirements on both sides of the border.

Attendees will hear directly from the CBSA, Bureau of Industry and Security, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol and industry representatives, including, CAMI Automotive, Dare Food and Schneider National.
