Crimestoppers seeking help

Bandits recently made away with a tractor and trailer on Feb. 8, driving through a receiving door and a chain link gate to make their escape.

Crime Stoppers and detectives from the Cargo Theft Unit of Metro Toronto Police need help from the community in solving the $1.2-million break and enter at 420 Flint Road in Toronto.

It was 4 a.m. when the bandits climbed the fence into the compound and then broke into the warehouse. Once inside they climbed into the cab of a blue 1994 International 9000 coupled to a white Stoughton trailer with Saskatchewan markers.

The trailer was loaded with 54 skids of Compaq computers valued at $1.2 million.

The bandits then drove through the closed receiving door of the building and into the compound before driving through the closed and locked gate. The unit was last seen traveling on Flint Road, with the gate stuck on the front of the tractor.

If you can help solve this or any other serious crime, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. n
