CTA applauds push on H-o-S rules

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – The Canadian Trucking Alliance (CTA) says it is encouraged by federal Transport Minister David Collenette’s decision push ahead with proposed changes to the Hours-of-Service rules.

David Bradley, chief executive officer of the CTA, says his group believes the new hours of work system that has been proposed has been the subject of much scientific study and, as a result, its template can now be applied to improve other modes of transport as well as trucking. n
