FEMA does pay for waiting time

Dear Editor,

I was reading your article The Hurricane Chasers in the November issue. First, as an American trucker I want to thank the Canadian drivers and people that helped out. Now I want to take issue with Brad Eadie not being paid for his time. Mr. Eadie needs to contact FEMA and tell them about this because FEMA pays detention time in the neighbourhood of $500 a day depending on the product.

Someone got that money and it should have been Mr. Eadie.

(ED: Shortly after his interview with Truck News, Brad Eadie was in fact paid for his waiting time.)
