TORONTO, Ont. – Meyers Transport president Evan Meyers has been honored by his peers with Ontario’s Trailmobile Service to Industry Award for his contribution to the trucking industry.

Meyers, who chaired the Ontario Trucking Association’s board of directors from 1992 to 1994, has been a longtime director of the association, and he’s been involved in trucking his entire life.

Meyers’ grandfather started Meyers Transport in 1927, and Evan even worked there in his youth, alongside his father and brothers during the summers and on weekends.

He said as early as Grade 2 that he planned to become president of the company. n
