MTA recognizes four of the best truck drivers

WINNIPEG, Man. – The Manitoba Trucking Association (MTA) has rewarded the last of 2001’s Driver of the Month Awards.

Taking the honors for September was David Grewinski of Gardewine North.

Grewinski has accumulated 2.5 million accident-free miles and spent 18 years with his current fleet.

In October, it was Scott and Donna Gammack of Mullen Trucking who shared the award.

They have been driving team for 26 years and during that time have racked up nearly four million safe miles.

November’s top driver was Henry Enns of Penner International.

The Landmark, Man. native has racked up more than two million accident-free miles.

December’s driver of the month is Ed Dueck of Big Freight Systems.

The 25-year veteran has amassed nearly 2.5 million miles and is now a two-time winner of the Manitoba fleet association’s monthly driver award.
