Orion deal bolsters Western Star stock

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – Western Star Truck Holdings Ltd. saw its shares rise $1.50 to $26 in one day, with more than 12,000 shares changing hands. The fuel for the run on stock came from word that Orion Bus Industries, a Western Star subsidiary, has closed deals with two U.S. transit authorities totaling $125 million. n
