Prince George south scale to be relocated (November 01, 2005)
PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. – B.C.’s Ministry of Transportation is planning an open house to discuss possible locations for the Prince George south weigh scale which will be relocated along Hwy. 97.
The open house will take place sometime this fall and will give truckers, fleets and the public input on the new location.
The Ministry is currently identifying possible locations along Hwy. 97 between the Old Cariboo Highway and Red Rock.
The Ministry says the new scale will provide safer and more efficient access and will also be able to process trucks faster, eliminating congestion which exists at the current scale. The new scale should be up and running by fall, 2007.
