Cummins has unveiled the new QuickCheck II system for Palm or HandEra devices. Designed to read and capture engine, transmission and brake system information from electronic diesel engines, it covers all diesel engine broadcasts – including SAE J1939 and J1587 data. Using the parameter screen on a Palm handheld device, a range of engine functions can be checked in real time, including data from sensors and switches to engine diagnostic information, including engine load and speed, coolant and intake manifold temperatures, output torque, fuel rate and transmission oil pressure. Phillips and Temro Industries has developed the Cab Power electrical system which allows drivers to use standard household appliances in the cab of their truck. The Cab Power system distributes power to 120-volt electrical outlets mounted in the cab and sleeper. Almost all household appliances can run on Cab Power and a cable television and telephone connection can be provided. The system meets electrical standards for all products sold in the U.S. and Canada. Features include a ground fault circuit interrupter and open neutral protection. UltraTech has released the new Ultra-SpillKing Economy Model – a four-drum spill pallet. The system has an 85-gallon capacity and can be converted into a unit with a removable drum pallet if desired. Landa has introduced a fully automated, virtually maintenance-free, wash-water recycle system. Using Landa’s Automated Maintenance Control (AMC) system, the CLP-7034 automatically backwashes filters, polishes standing water during the night and dumps collected solids on a regular cycle. The self-contained system operates at flow rates of up to 30 gallons per minute (GPM) and also features multi-media blend with 950 lbs. of gravel, garnet, sand and anthracite which removes solids in the wastestream as small as 30 microns. Axiom Navigation has announced availability of its Accu-Tracker FMS-2000, a data logging device based on Axiom’s 12-channel GPS receiver paired with a full short-range 900MHz data transmission system. This vehicle location device provides for fleet management as well as employee service accountability. Each FMS-2000 unit can be programmed to log a variety of triggers including time, distance, speed, stops and other settings. Tuff Pressure Washers has introduced a new line of gasoline-powered cold water pressure washers featuring seven models with a rugged roll cage design.
