OTTAWA, Ont. – Motor vehicle fatalities decreased again in 2004, despite an increasing volume of vehicles and drivers on Canadian highways. Injuries also decreased by 4.5 per cent over 2003 according to the latest edition of the Canadian Motor Vehicle Traffic Collision Statistics, released by Transport Canada. The report features collision statistics for 2004 including historical information dating back to 1984.
