HERNDON, Va. – The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence has introduced the third in its series of certification tests for truck equipment technicians.

May 2 is the launch date for the ASE’s E3: Auxiliary Power Systems Installation and Repair test. The registration deadline is March 31.

The E3 test measures a technician’s knowledge of installation, modification and repair skills as they relate to the auxiliary power systems supporting installed truck equipment.

To earn certification, a technician must have two years of hands-on experience as a truck equipment technician.
