Thermo King extends maintenance interval for TriPac APU

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Thermo King has announced its TriPac Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) now boasts a 1,000 hour maintenance interval.

The extended maintenance interval makes the unit more owner friendly, the company says. Maintenance on the APU may now be conducted at the same time as the tractor, saving time and eliminating additional downtime for APU maintenance.

The company also says owners can further extend the TriPac’s maintenance intervals by using the auto start/stop function.

This feature turns the TriPac on only when required, reducing fuel usage as well as wear and tear.
