CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The 2002 tolls to cross the Confederation Bridge linking New Brunswick to P.E.I. have gone up.

Transport Canada has approved the 2002 round trip tolls and effective Jan. 1, the toll for a truck and trailer unit will increase from $51.75 to $54.00.

The new toll rates are: truck $43; truck and trailer $54; truck and two trailers $108; automobile $37.75; motorcycle $15; bus $215.50; recreational vehicle $43.
