BRAMPTON, Ont. – For the second year in a row, Brampton author Edo van Belkom is up against horror meister Stephen King for the Bram Stoker Award, the top prize for horror writing, presented by the Horror Writers Association.

His short story collection Death Drives a Semi, published by Kingston’s Quarry Press, is a finalist in the category of Fiction Collection. King is nominated for his work, Hearts in Atlantis.

vanBelkom is probably best known among Truck News readers for his monthly serial, Mark Dalton: Owner/Operator. The awards are handed out May 13. n
