PORTLAND, Ore. — Transport America has announced it has deployed 200 Rolling Strong FIT systems for driver health in its Freightliner trucks.

The in-cab exercise system was developed by Freightliner with Rolling Strong, and is the first-ever OEM-designed and integrated exercise and flexibility system. It allows drivers to complete a simple and convenient exercise routine right inside their trucks. If features a triple-grip handle that enables users to interchange three bands to change resistance levels.

The system can be installed using existing seat tether and bunk restraint mounting points.

“It is critical that we invest in programs to help drive a higher quality, and healthier lifestyle for our drivers. Transport America is investing in wellness programs like the FIT System which will afford our drivers an opportunity to exercise while on the road and have an online support system to help with nutrition and fitness,” said Steve Royce, vice-president of human resources for Transport America.

“By giving drivers accessible tools like the FIT System in the privacy of their own cabs, we are helping them maintain their well-being at their own convenience,” said Mary Aufdemberg, director, product marketing for Freightliner Trucks. “Freightliner Trucks wants to help keep drivers healthy and on the road.”
