Long-time maintenance professional Terry Richardson passes away

HAMILTON, Ont. — Terry Richardson, a long-time ATSSA member and past chair of the Canadian Fleet Maintenance Seminar, has passed away after a battle with cancer.

He died Oct. 30 at the age of 63.

Richardson was a millwright, welder and truck mechanic. He loved his job at Service 1 Truck & Trailer Repair, where he often referred to himself as “the pair of legs you see under a truck at the side of the highway,” friends recall.

A visitation for Richardson will be held tonight from 3-7 p.m. at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home at 796 Upper Gage Ave. in Hamilton. A funeral will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 19 Viewpoint Ave. in Hamilton Nov. 3 at 11 a.m.
