Fatalities Can Be Reduced By 57% with Next-Gen Collision Tech
TROY, MI - The University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI) has released a study finding current collision mitigation systems (CMS) can reduce fatalities by 24 percent and 23 percent in injuries; what's more is that in future-generation CMS that number is as high as a 57 percent reduction in fatalities and 56 percent in injuries.
Ottawa Truckers Rally on Champlain Bridge
OTTAWA - A dozen Ottawa-based dump trucks are expected to block part of the Champlain Bridge this morning, protesting their anger over what they say is an uneven playing field between Ontario truckers and Quebec truckers when it comes to working in each other's provinces.
