No 30-Min Break Required For Livestock Haulers
WASHINGTON, DC- The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) will exempt drivers of vehicles hauling livestock from the 30-minute break requirement during the first eight hours of a shift. The exemption will remain in place for one year only.
Drug and Alcohol Testing Gets Longer Comment Period
ARLINGTON, VA - The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has extended the comment period on its proposal to establish a national clearinghouse for drug and alcohol test results from April 21 to May 21. It will post a final rule after it has reviewed the comments and made adjustments if necessary.
