Alcoa hires new vice-president of marketing

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Alcoa Wheel Products has named Curtis Samford its vice-president of marketing.

The company says it’s looking to further expand its products and services and felt Samford was the ideal candidate to help it achieve that goal. His responsibilities will include developing a strategic vision and market direction for the company.

Samford brings more than 20 years of global marketing, sales, management and engineering experience to the table. Most of his jobs have been in the automotive and heavy-duty trucking industries.

Most recently, Samford was vice-president of commercialization for UniPure Corporation where he helped develop new markets and business models.
