LAS VEGAS, Nev. Mack Trucks is now offering the Telma Frictionless Braking System carrier-mounted to its S462 axle on LE and MR vehicles.

Company officials made the announcement at the 2005 Waste Expo Show in Las Vegas.

"The Mack S462 axle, with its lightweight yet strong ductile iron housing, has been very well received by our refuse customers," said Steve Ginter, Mack vocational products marketing manager. "These same customers have also become increasingly aware of the benefits of the Telma system, which can dramatically lower maintenance costs by reducing the number of brake overhauls required for even the most demanding routes. So we believe the Mack S462 – Telma Brake arrangement provides an optimum combination for our refuse customers."
