MARKHAM, Ont. Transport trailer dealer Markham Equipment Sales Ltd. is now an exclusive Ontario agent for Cheetah Chassis Corporation.

"We are very excited to have Markham Equipment Sales Ltd. representing the Cheetah brand in Ontario," says Murray Zwickel, Vice President Sales, Cheetah Chassis Corporation. "We have had an ongoing working relationship with Markham Equipment Sales for a number of years through our sister company Strick Corporation."

Markham Equipment Sales has more than 20 years experience supplying container chassis and intermodal products and reports that the rapid growth of the global economy and the increase of importing and exporting is boosting demand for intermodal container chassis.

"Thirty to 35 per cent of our customer base comes to us looking for intermodal chassis," says Angelo Ciciretto, President and Founder, Markham Equipment Sales. "This partnership with Cheetah Chassis Corporation will allow us to add to our portfolio of intermodal equipment to better serve our customer requirements and keep up with their demands."

Cheetah Chassis Corporation is the largest manufacturer of intermodal chassis in the United States, manufacturing well over 8,500 units per year. To keep up with the demand of the North American transportation market, Cheetah Chassis Corporation has developed a second production line focusing on more specialized product design requirements. Many of product designs on this line are tailored to fit the intermodal needs of Markham Equipment Sales Ltd. customers.

Since 1982, Markham Equipment has been providing in-house sales, service, leasing and financing to the transportation industry since 1982. Cheetah Chassis Corporation emerged in April, 2000; previously operating as a division of the well known Strick Corporation established in 1937.
