Cortec’s EcoLine is a greener fifth wheel grease

by Today's Trucking

Cortec’s EcoLine fifth wheel grease — made with vegetable oil and a lithium-based thickener — is being presented as an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional petroleum-based products.

The product line can also replace all-purpose petroleum-based greases used in sliding or rolling metal-to-metal contact areas such as trailer hitches or other mechanical joints, the company says.

EcoLine can be used under a wide range of operating temperatures, and contains 91% USDA certified bio-based content, qualifying it under the USDA BioPreferred Program purchasing initiative.
