Dana Spicer D172 Series heavy-duty tandem axles and SPL 170 and 250 driveshafts will be standard equipment on the newly redesigned Oshkosh S-Series front discharge mixer from McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing.

The D172 Series tandem axle is rated for up to 50,000 lb. capacities, and supports gear ratios up to 6.14:1. A driver-controlled wheel differential lock is also standard.

Meanwhile, the SPL 170 and 250 driveshafts offer respective torque capacities of 17,000 Nm and 25,000 Nm. A High-Power Density feature also provides a smaller package to help increase load-carrying capacity.
