Donaldson remotely monitors fuel filters, engine oil
Donaldson’s Filter Minder Connect monitors fuel filters and engine oil condition, integrating the related data into onboard telematics and fleet management systems.
The related components can be installed on heavy-duty equipment in minutes, the company says.
The Filter Minder Connect sensors will measure pressure drop and differential pressure on fuel filters, and gauge oil condition based on density, viscosity, dielectric constant, and resistivity.
The data is wirelessly transmitted to the cloud, while predictive analytics warn when the filters and oil are approaching the end of their service life.
Fleets that utilize Geotab and Filter Minder Connect monitoring can receive the related data and analytic insights on their laptop or mobile device through the MyGeotab dashboard.
