Ex-Guard’s front-end protection for fifth-gen Cascadia

by Today's Trucking

Ex-Guard has brought to market a new front-end protection guard for the new Freightliner fifth-generation Cascadia.

“This guard is by far the most advanced model our team has ever produced,” said Ex-Guard director of engineering Jeremy Drever in a news release.

“The design has to work in harmony alongside all the advanced sensor technology of the Cascadia to provide an unprecedented balance of protection and value. We’ve already had several of the top industry-leading fleets place orders for this guard. The fleets and owner-operators that use our front-end protection solutions benefit by defending critical and potentially costly safety components and truck parts from parking lot incidents, wildlife, and even other vehicles or hazards on the road.”

The XG-150G3-Cascadia guard protects the truck’s bumper, grille, radiator, collision mitigation radar sensors, hood, and headlights.

Features include: a ClearZone CMS design to work with the truck’s built-in collision mitigation system radars; a patented XERO-G Lift Assist feature to reduce effort in raising and lowering the guard; 8-guage high-tensile steel coated with 3mm of EVCoat PVC finish; LEVRLock dual latches; and additional cross bar for increased grille coverage; and licence plate bracket.
