Fifth wheel cover invented to keep hitches clean

PITTSBURGH, Penn. — Invention Submission Corporation announces that two of its inventors from Sanford, Fla., have developed a covering device for fifth wheel hitches that would prevent hitches from accumulating dirt and debris.

The inventors have created a prototype.

By stopping debris from collecting on greased hitches, fifth wheel cover would eliminate the need to clean off hitches and reapply grease prior to use of hitches. The cover would stay securely over a hitch, preventing it from blowing away while an individual is traveling. The invention would provide an effective cover for recreational vehicles, trucks, tractors and other vehicles that feature fifth wheel hitches.

Personal experience with their own fifth wheel hitch inspired the inventors to design this invention.

“I own a vehicle with a fifth wheel hitch, and when I’m not using it, it gets dirty. I often need to reapply grease prior to use,” said one of the creators.

The original design was submitted to the Orlando office of Invention Submission Corporation. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
