TORONTO, Ont. — Since introducing the truck in March, International CF Series receiving praise as a very competitive new entry to cab-forward market in industry preview events.

This North American designed and built truck is generating demand and orders well in advance of official roll-out.

International set bold goals for 2004 and beyond, which included looking at how we can better meet our customers’ needs. Part of that process has involved designing an all-new, low cab-forward truck designed to address a variety of needs for customers working in urban environments, said Mike Elwell, marketing director of International Truck and Engine’s Medium Vehicle Center.

"We believe the International CF Series responds to these customer demands for a truck that’s easy to drive, efficient to maintain and economical to own," said Elwell.

The introduction of the CF Series is a major component of International’s plan to grow its business to $15 billion in revenue and strengthens the company’s leadership position in the North American medium-duty truck market, he added.

The CF also provides International with the opportunity to enter into the Class 4 and 5 markets.

"In early 2005, we will begin production of the CF Series. So as we’ve been working toward this goal, we’ve taken many opportunities to provide customers and dealers with ride-and-drive preview events to gather feedback and generate interest and excitement in the marketplace," Elwell said.

The International CF Series chassis complements a wide range of body types and equipment for use in such vocations as pickup and delivery, utility, recovery, landscaping and construction.

"Most of our customers are either small-to-medium business owners and managers who need to be focused on their various businesses, or larger fleet owners exploring alternative transportation options in urban settings. Their specialty area is not trucks. So it’s important that we’re giving them a truck that’s easy to purchase, easy to maintain and easy to drive," he said.

The CF features an optional 70-gallon dual tank configuration, a breakaway cab-mounted, powder-coated mirrors that reduce door and mirror repair costs. International has assembled flexible and unique financing options: The International Finance Group (IFG) also provides a range of customized purchase and lease programs and payment plans, backed by a 24-month/unlimited mileage warranty, towing reimbursement for 36 months/150,000 miles (240,000 Km), 36 months/150,000 miles (240,000 Km) engine warranty.
