Kenworth announces new engine options

KIRKLAND, Wash. — Kenworth trucks are now available with new Caterpillar C13 and C11 engines with more horsepower and higher torque ratings.

The Cat C13 now offers 470-horsepower with torque ratings of 1,550 lb.-ft. and 1,650 lb.-ft. and can be paired with Kenworth’s T2000, T800, T600, W900 and C500 models.

The C11 350- and 370-horsepower engines now have torque ratings of 1,450 lb.-ft. and that engine can be spec’d on all Kenworth Class 8 models.

“Kenworth is pleased to offer these new, upgraded Caterpillar C13 and C11 engines in selected Class 8 models to help customers get the job done,” said Steve Gilligan, Kenworth’s general marketing manager.
