KIRKLAND, Wash — Kenworth Truck Company has introducedthe Hendrickson PRIMAAX heavy duty air suspension for Kenworth vocational truck and tractor applications.

"Kenworth is offering the PRIMAAX suspension as an option in 46,000-pound tandem and 69,000-pound tridem configurations for the Kenworth T800, W900 and C500 models," said Steve Gilligan, Kenworth general marketing manager. "This heavy duty suspension is ideal for construction, logging and heavy haul applications."

Kenworth was the recipient of the 2004 J.D. Power and Associates award for "Highest in Customer Satisfaction among Vocational Segment Class 8 Trucks".

In the 46,000-pound tandem rating, PRIMAAX is available for use with multiple lift axles and GCWR of 180,000 lbs. PRIMAAX also offers up to eight inches of axle travel for improved suspension articulation, resulting in greater mobility on job sites.

In the 69,000-pound tridem rating, PRIMAAX is available with a GCWR of 240,000 pounds making it an ideal choice for heavy haul and logging where the added traction of three drive axles can improve performance off the road.

Designed specifically for the rigorous demands of the vocational and heavy haul truck and tractor market, the PRIMAAX air suspension features a non-torque reactive suspension well-suited for high torque engine applications. The large volume air springs and heavy duty shock absorbers offer an improved ride quality, and reduce noise, vibration and harshness for longer life of truck components and body equipment.
