LEHIGH VALLEY, Penn. — Mack Trucks has announced the appointments of three new powertrain sales managers who will provide customers and dealers with specialized technical assistance with powertrain issues.

The new managers will also develop and manage Mack’s powertrain sales activities with dealers, field sales personnel and major accounts. They will also work with industry groups to provide technical support and application assistance, Mack has announced.

Scott Barraclough is responsible for Mack’s northeast and southeast regions. He will be based in Allentown, Penn. and was most recently a customer satisfaction engineer with Mack’s Powertrain Division.

Joe Scarnecchia is in charge of powertrain activities in the central and southwest regions. He most recently served as a Mack district service manager base in Ohio. He will continue to work out of Niles, Ohio.

The third manager is Steven de Sousa and he will be responsible for powertrain sales activities in Canada. de Sousa is based in Mississauga, Ont. and was most recently the eastern region fleet service manager for Volvo Trucks Canada.

"We’ve heard from dealers and customers alike that there’s a tremendous need for specialized sales support in the area of powertrains," said Kevin Flaherty, senior vice-president of sales. "We believe these three highly capable and experienced individuals will help us ensure that customers in North America continue to receive the high level of support they’ve come to expect from Mack."
