LAVAL, Que. — Michelin Retread Technologies has added Canadian Treads as its fifth MRT franchise in Canada.
Through its Edmonton facility, Canadian Treads will begin operations of a Michelin Pre-MoldTM retread plant before the end of 2004.

2004 has been a year of growth for MRT. Most recently, Michelin expanded its Covington, Georgia manufacturing facility. MRT also added Evansville, Indiana-based Raben Tire and Hungerford, Texas-based Strouhal Tire, Inc. to the company’s growing list of retread franchises.

There are now more than 230 points of sale in North America for Michelin retreads.

MRT treads are built with Michelin proprietary tread rubber compounds and designs.
