Mirror wiper device invented to give truckers a clear view

PITTSBURGH, Penn. — An inventor from Ashland, Wis. has designed a wiper assembly for truck mirrors that would improve a trucker’s visibility.

The mirror wiper device would help to improve drivers’ safety by giving them a clear view of the road, vehicles and other objects when driving or maneuvering into small spaces. The device’s lightweight design would make it easy-to-handle and install on either side of a truck. Drivers could find the invention useful when backing into a loading dock, especially when the weather is poor.

The inventor’s career as a truck driver inspired the idea of the device.

“I have driven a truck for 47 years. During my adventures on the road, I have always tried to think of ways to make trucking better and safer for drivers,” said the creator.

The original design was submitted to the Edina office of the Invention Submission Corporation. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
