DALLAS, Tex. — Freightliner Trucks recently introduced two new upgraded interior packages for the Century Class S/T and Columbia heavy-duty vehicles.

These interior packages are designed to offer increased insulation and comfort with an added noise abatement benefit. The product announcement was made at the Great American Trucking Show here.

The optional Heritage interior package and new version of the premium Signature interior package, which was first introduced in late 2003, offers amenities and interior styling options that enhance the appearance and comfort of Day Cabs or SleeperCabs for the Century Class S/T and Columbia Class 8 truck models.

The Signature and Heritage interior packages are available in four attractive colors: Opal Gray, Autumn Red, Horizon Blue and Graphite Black. These four color packages are available in vinyl or cloth, along with certain hard-trim amenities that discerning buyers appreciate.

“The new Signature and Heritage interiors are excellent options for fleet buyers who want to upgrade their vehicles or reward their drivers,” said Mark Lampert, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Freightliner Trucks. “Both interior packages create a premium-look interior and provide our customers with the quality and comfort they deserve.”

The Heritage interior features the Freightliner logo embroidered on the seats and back wall of the SleeperCab. A distinctive diamond-stitch pattern is featured on the side and back wall of the sleeper panels, as well as on the driver and passenger seat inserts.

A premium Noise Abatement Package, which is standard on the Century Class S/T, is offered in the Heritage package for the Columbia. Under-bunk baggage compartment liners, noise abatement partitions and HVAC covers, along with plush black floor mats, provide increased insulation with the Heritage option.

All amenities offered in the Heritage package are included in the Signature interior option, along with several other upgraded features. The Signature interior package also offers Curl Elm wood grain dash panels, door switch panels and accents on the modular cabinet doors.

An adjustable tilt and telescoping steering column, a standard feature for Century Class S/T, is offered in the Signature interior package for the Columbia. Sunvisors with vanity mirrors and a leather-wrapped VIP steering wheel with black spokes round out the Signature interior package.
