NuPort Robotics to use NVIDIA Drive platform

by Today's Trucking

NuPort Robotics, a Canadian business developing autonomous trucks for middle-mile applications, will base its system on the NVIDIA Drive platform, the company has announced.

The centralized platform will support sensors as diverse as lidar, radar, cameras, and GPS.

NVIDIA Drive processes deep neural networks, and upcoming generations of NuPort Robotics equipment will use the NVIDIA Drive Orin, which can handle 250 trillion operations per second. The business will also leverage the NVIDIA Drive operating system and DriveWorks software.

The DriveWorks SDK offers access to different built-in APIs, making it possible to run artificial intelligence algorithms in real time on a single in-vehicle computer, NuPort Robotics notes.
