Paccar MD trucks come with Hendrickson steer axle
Hendrickson’s Steertek NXT fabricated front steer axle is now a standard offering on recently introduced Kenworth and Peterbilt medium-duty truck models.
The axle is available on Kenworth T180, T280, T380, and T480 trucks and Peterbilt Model 535, 536, 537, and 548 trucks as standard equipment with additional capacity options.
Hendrickson says the axle’s design and manufacturing process sheds weight compared to traditional I-beam axles, but adds the final product still offers rigid strength, a 55-degree wheel cut, and reduced maintenance.
The axles are available in 8,000-14,600-lb. capacities and come with a 10-year/1.6-million km warranty.
