Platform calculates fleet climate impact
Fleets that want a true measure of their CO2 emissions can gather the data through the Green Your Fleet platform from Bridgestone’s Webfleet Solutions.
The tool calculates emissions based on fleet size and vehicle types, factoring in average fuel consumptions and mileage values calculated through Webfleet’s fleet management software.
It also offers an option for offsetting the emissions costs.
Data from Justdiggits is used to identify the cost of reducing a tonne of carbon dioxide by regreening dry lands in Tanzania. Fleets that take the extra step of supporting that program will be notified about the number of square meters to be regreened, how many trees will be brought back, the amount of water to be saved, and the number of local people who are empowered through the contribution.
