SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Trillium CNG has introduced a new seven-inch hydraulic intensifier compressor (HY-C), which it says can refuel CNG vehicles in half the time it takes today.

The new product was unveiled at the American Trucking Associations Management Conference & Exhibition.

The new seven-inch HY-C is designed for heavy-duty fleets that require high-volume CNG refueling times for multiple vehicles across multiple fuelling lanes, the company announced.

Trillium’s five-inch HY-C is being used in many existing heavy-duty public access CNG stations to achieve fuelling rates of about 10 gasoline gallon equivalent (GGE) units per minute.

“We’re excited about of our new seven-inch HY-C because it not only preserves valuable driver time, which is important to fleet operators, but it redefines CNG refuelling industry standards which were originally established with our five-inch HY-C, “said Ted Calvin, vice-president of manufacturing and supply chain.
