WASHINGTON, D.C. Elevated terrorist threat levels in the U.S. this week is making for increased security in all parts of the transportation sector.

With war looming in Iraq and the another tape allegedly made by Osama bin Laden urging terrorist action, U.S. Federal agencies are taking specific protective measures and may remains on high alert for weeks. U.S. citizens last night were being told what to do in the case of a chemical or germ warfare attack.

As a consequence it may well the industry will likely have to make allowances for additional delays beyond those experienced over the past months.

U.S. Customs will be checking all identification more thoroughly and more inspections for vehicles and truck beds will surely be done. As well, U.S. Customs is expecting more delays at port of entries as well as at airports.
