TORONTO, Ont. — CIFFA and ViaSafe Inc., an Ottawa-based e-Global Logistics service provider, have announced today a new partnership.

ViaSafe, in cooperation with the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association, will provide CIFFA members with electronic connectivity to trade chain partners and government authorities for global trade activities.

New customs electronic reporting requirements, along with increased demands for “doing more for less,” have resulted in a need to develop an electronic collaborative approach.

This collaboration will allow carriers, brokers, importers, warehouse operators and other related parties to exchange trade data in an efficient and secure environment.
