Computer virus circulating

TORONTO, Ont. — A vicious computer virus is reportedly making the rounds of Canada’s customs and freight forwarding industry.

The bad news comes via the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association’s weekly bulletin.

“There is currently a surge in malicious, virus-infected emails,” CIFFA warned members in its recent bulletin to members.

“A characteristic of the current viruses is that the “sender” appears to be someone the receiver knows, including CIFFA, member companies, customs or Foreign Affairs employees.”
